MARTIN J. GREENBERG

 

Martin J. Greenberg, Managing Member of the Law Office of Martin J. Greenberg, LLC, is a recognized expert in the areas of real estate and sports law throughout Wisconsin and the nation.  Greenberg has been practicing law for over three decades and is also an adjunct law professor, author, and mediator.  His teaching experience includes courses in property and real estate transactions, sports contract negotiations and sports facility development.  In addition, Greenberg was the founder of the National Sports Law Institute at Marquette University Law School

 Greenberg is a regular contributor to various law reviews, newsletters, magazines, and practice manuals.  He has authored and co-authored several books, including: Real Estate Practice; Wisconsin Real Estate Practice; Mortgage and Real Estate Financing; Real Estate Tax Guide; The Law of Damages in Wisconsin; the Stadium Game; Sports Law Practice; and SportBiz.  He is also frequently featured as a keynote speaker in real estate and sports law conferences around the country, and is called upon to testify as an expert witness in the areas of real estate and sports business disputes.

Greenberg has been honored several times as one of the “Top Real Estate Lawyers in Milwaukee” by Milwaukee Magazine and has been honored as “Lawyer of the Year – Legal Scholar” by the Milwaukee Bar Association.  In 2009 alone, Greenberg was named one of the “Leaders in the Law” by the Wisconsin Law Journal and is listed in the Best Lawyers in America.

Greenberg’s past and current volunteer activities include: Chairman -Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation; Chairman - Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame; Chairman - Wisconsin State Fair Park; and Chairman -  Wisconsin State Fair Park Exposition Center; Chairman- Wisconsin Sports Foundation; and Board member of the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District Board (Miller Park).
